In the Shadow of a Sun King

To stand at the center confounded
By endless rows golden and lavish
Crystal lined archways of
God given decadence
At the cost of men
Who labored and toiled
In the shadow of a Sun King
While they begged for bread
A house fit for a tyrant
In all his diamond glory
Whose mirrors reflect
Away from the many horrors
Of war seen since
