The King Dines Alone

A king with a magnificant smile
Seated himself at his dinner table
Filled with many empty seats

Without guests or servants present
No wine, or food, or exotic fruit
In a room filled with treasure

Priceless art, everything posh
The ornate furniture polished
As were the silverware and goblets

Desperately hungry
He removed his golden crown
And ruined his teeth

A crownless, toothless king
Sat at an empty dinner table
Hungry and unable to eat...
